Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Renewal Mind ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Renewal Mind is a mental health and spiritual wellness application that provides journaling, mood tracking, guided meditation, AI-powered chat support, mental health screenings, and faith-based devotional content. The App is developed and maintained by Renewal Life Community Development Corporation.

The App is a wellness tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The mental health screenings included in the App (PHQ-9, GAD-7, PSS-10, PCL-5) are for educational and self-awareness purposes only. The AI companion (Mindi) is not a licensed therapist, counselor, or medical professional.

Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical or mental health condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or experienced in the App.

You may use the App without creating an account. If you choose to create an account using Google, Facebook, or Apple sign-in, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

You retain ownership of all content you create within the App, including journal entries, voice recordings, and mood data. By using AI features (such as Mindi chat or voice transcription), you grant us a limited, temporary license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the requested service.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's services or servers
• Use the App to harm, threaten, or harass others
• Misrepresent the App's screenings or AI responses as professional medical advice

The App, including its design, code, content, and branding, is the property of Renewal Life Community Development Corporation and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renewal Life Community Development Corporation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
